Horta-Guinardó

El Baix Guinardó

If you live here, you live on a flat grid near Sagrada Família, on the streets where fewest residents say they feel unsafe.

A near-rectangular grid built up from the 1950s around Plaça d'Alfons X, with the Parc de les Aigües as its green anchor. It sits on the Blanquerna Health Sciences seam and a few minutes from Hospital de Sant Pau, which makes it the most plausible way into Horta-Guinardó for a student, even though it barely appears in the guides.

Where el Guinardó climbs, el Baix Guinardó stays flat. Two metro lines, the lowest perceived-insecurity share of anywhere in this comparison, and Gràcia adjacency without Gràcia prices.
