La Salut

If you live here, you have Park Güell as a back garden and a twenty-minute climb between you and a supermarket.

Residents describe a tourist corridor at the park entrances: more than 2,000 taxis a day and a bus so full of visitors that it was taken off Google Maps. The bars near the entrances serve visitors rather than locals, neighbourhood shops are few and the streets are steep. There is no station inside the neighbourhood; Lesseps on L3 and Alfons X on L4 are both downhill walks.

The hillside above the Vila, with Park Güell inside it. One of the greenest and quietest parts of Gràcia, and one of the least convenient places we cover.
