A town of around 90,000 people with cinemas, theatres, restaurants and a real pedestrian shopping core, conservative and family-oriented. Esade's bachelor and master campus is here, as is UIC's health-sciences campus at the Hospital General. Contrary to the suburb label, whole-flat rents now exceed Barcelona city, which makes it the second most expensive municipality in the metropolitan area after Begues.
