Vila de Gràcia

If you live here, you live in a village the city swallowed and never digested, where evenings happen in the square, not on the sofa.

A grid of narrow streets strung between squares - Vila de Gràcia, Sol, Virreina - each of which becomes an outdoor living room in the evening. Independent everything: cinemas, bookshops, co-ops. Very high concentration of Erasmus and remote workers.

An independent town until 1897 and it still behaves like one. The default recommendation for international students, which is exactly why it is no longer cheap.
